An Investigation Has Been Initiated Against DSM Grup Danışmanlık Iletişim ve Satış Ticaret A.Ş.
Turkish Competition Board (“The Board”), with its decision numbered 22-24/385-M has decided to initiate an investigation against DSM Grup Danışmanlık İletişim ve Satış Ticaret A.Ş. (“Trendyol”).
A preliminary investigation was initiated against Trendyol, alleging that Trendyol was favoring its platform, DOLAP, which is a platform that provides intermediation for online sale of second-hand goods, by sharing consumer data and preventing the transfer of this data to the competing platforms. The Board concluded that the information, documents and determinations obtained during the preliminary investigation were sufficient and decided to open an investigation with the allegation of Article 6 of the Law No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition was violated by engaging in exclusionary behavior in the market of platform services that provides intermediation for the online sale of second-hand products.
