Biography
Mehveş Erdem is a Managing Associate in the Dispute Resolution Department of Erdem & Erdem.
Mehveş Erdem Kamiloğlu, who has 10 years of experience in her field, represents domestic and foreign clients in arbitration cases arising from commercial disputes before various arbitration institutions and courts and coordinates litigation proceedings in various countries. She acts as arbitrator in arbitration proceedings. She advises on regulatory field by providing consultancy in regulatory strategy and conducting risk assessments.
She completed her Master of Law with honors in Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and worked in Kirkland & Ellis LLP’s New York office as a foreign associate.

- Acts as counsel for a Turkish conglomerate focused on infrastructure in an ICC arbitration and provides legal consultancy to the claimant in post-SPA disputes
- Appointed as the sole arbitrator in an ISTAC arbitration between two Turkish entities regarding a software development agreement
- Appointed as the sole arbitrator in an ITOTAM arbitration between two Turkish entities regarding a software development agreement
- Acts as counsel in arbitrations arising from EFET Agreements between the biggest energy company and its suppliers before ISTAC
- Acted as counsel in arbitrations between a football club against its former players in three different arbitral proceedings before ISTAC
- Appointed as the arbitral tribunal secretary in an ICC arbitration between a French and a Turkish company regarding a joint venture agreement
- Appointed as the arbitral secretary in an ISTAC arbitration arising from a complex share transfer transaction
- Acted as counsel in an arbitration arising from a share purchase agreement against a Dutch company
- Acted as counsel in an arbitration arising from a share purchase agreement between a Turkish and a Russian company governed by Swiss Rules
- Acted as counsel in an arbitration between a Turkish Super League football club and its former head coach governed by Court of Arbitration for Sports
- Acted as counsel in an ICC arbitration between a Turkish Super League football club and its former sponsor from Dubai
- Represents an online platform before Turkish courts in series of lawsuits for damages
- Represents a leading holding company in Turkey active in port management, energy, mining sectors and its affiliates in lawsuits arising from agreements, commercial disputes and corporate law
- Represented the Claimant in the lawsuit filed for the annulment of the Competition Board decision regarding the exemption application for the exclusive distributorship system in the flat glass sector
- Assisted the %100 share transfer of a company active in the cement sector
- Assisted a Group Company in the project financing of a mine in Kazakhstan by EBRD and Unicredit for USD 260 million
- Assisted in the acquisition of chrome mineral operator companies, a ferrochrome factory located in Russia and a mine in Kazakhstan
- Assisted the project financing of Dalaman Airport’s domestic terminal for USD 175 million
