The Periods of Employment Incentives and Normalization Premium Support were extended
Through the Presidential Decrees numbered 3246, 3247 and 3248 published in the Official Gazette dated 02.12.2020 and numbered 31322, the implementation periods of the employment incentives and the normalization premium support, provided for employers by the Social Security Institution were extended.
Under the Presidential Decree numbered 3246, the period of the premium support provided in the event that the insured, who has benefited from the short-time working allowance or wage support, returns to the normal weekly working hours was extended. According to the Decree, the premium support is provided for six months from the month following the date of returning to normal working hours, not exceeding 30.06.2021. The procedures and principles of the normalization premium support are regulated in Provisional Article 26 of the Unemployment Insurance Law No. 4447 (“Law”). Under the Presidential Decree numbered 3247, the period of the incentive provided in the event of employment of young and women and employment of insured with professional certificate was extended from 31.12.2020 to 31.12.2022. Under the Presidential Decree numbered 3248, the periods of the additional employment incentive and the income tax support were extended from 31.12.2020 to 31.12.2022. The procedures and principles of this additional employment incentive are regulated in Provisional Article 19 of the Law and the income tax support are regulated in Provisional Article 21 of the Law.
