VI the abuse of dominance concerning online platforms, general evalu- ations regarding decisions in the electricity distribution sector, recent decisions regarding the Turkish beer market, recent motor vehicles insurance decisions, and detailed analysis on the Google decision of the Competition Board. As a GAR100 listed law firm with a proven track record in in- ternational arbitration, we have reported on amendments introduced through Law No. 7101 on arbitration proceedings, 60 years of the New York Convention, amendments to the ICSID rules and regulations, the Prague rules on the taking of evidence in arbitration, consequences of the failure to comply with document production orders in international arbitrations, resolution of disputes through arbitration in agreements concluded under public procurement contracts law, arbitration agree- ments concluded by agents and the specific authority issue, decision of the General Assembly of the Court of Cassation on the Unification of Judgments regarding arbitral awards that are subject to actions to set aside, as well as cost allocation in international arbitrations. In the capital markets law, we analyzed the important changes in capital markets legislation, market manipulation offenses, mandatory share purchase offers, public disclosure obligations, management of information systems, as well as crowdfunding in Turkey. As is custo- mary over the years, we wrote on contemporary issues in contracts law (law of obligations), labor law and employment affairs, intellectual property and civil law, as well as tax law. Concordat was another pro- minent research subject with regard to Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law. The legislation on data protection continued to be developed in 2018. Within this framework, the general data protection regulation brought into force in 2018, and significant decisions of the Personal Data Protection Authority, were examined. The chapter on Legal Developments provides global insight into material developments in international agreements, laws, regulations, and communiqués, as well as a synopsis of the decisions of the Turkish Competition Board and the Privatization Authority. We also published a list of energy legislation made effective in 2018, as well as extracts of key court precedents. We believe that this last chapter portrays an
